A Glimpse of Heaven...

Patti and I have spent the last few days in Yosemite National Park.  It is a very beautiful place.  Our National Parks are such a treasure.  They are truly an incredible vista of God's awesome creation!  What a gift He gave to you and me.

One of the interesting things about the National Parks are the people that you meet.  Our cell phones have become such ice breakers - especially when you offer to take folks pictures for them.  We met folks from Australia, Denmark, Taiwan, Japan, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and more.  And we all were enjoying God's beautiful world!  In fact, with the beauty of the surrounding nature, combined with all of the wonderful people we met, I would say we saw a glimpse of Heaven.   People, all created in God's image, yet beautifully unique, enjoying the grandeur of the Creator.   Definitely, though just a peek, a glimpse of Heaven.

Next Saturday is HUGE at FCC.  We will celebrate and love on our neighbors with our largest annual community outreach - MUSIC IN THE VALE.  This year promises to be Awesome!!  Thank you to everyone who has been and is involved - which is basically the majority of our Church Family!  A special thank you to Steve Turner who continues each year to line up the talent for the event.  Thank you to Matt Blount who created our new look and has done such a great job in communicating about the event.  And a special thanks to Pastor Lee who has overseen this important Outreach Event.

Patti and I will return home Saturday and look forward to being with you on Sunday.   We will be wrapping up our look at 1 John.  And don't forget our Fiesta Potluck Luncheon following Worship.  I hope to see you lots this week - Sunday, Potluck, and Music in the Vale!  And I believe I will catch another "glimpse of Heaven!"   And always Remember...
