WHEN I'M 64!
A few years ago, in 1967 (when I was 8), an up and coming musician named Paul McCarntey, wrote a song for his Father when his Dad turned 64. This whimsical Beatles classic with tuba, clarinet, and piano, is fun and highlights the diversity of the Beatles music genius. One of the most famous lines in the song is "Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty-four." What a great reminder that all, no matter what age, are important. And all need to be reminded and often.
I want to share that on Friday evening Ms. Carol had to go to the hospital. She had to have a procedure on her heart, but all went well and she is recovering. Remember, she also broke her humerus bone (the long bone in the upper arm) earlier and is recovering from that as well. Please keep Ms. Carol and Cindy in your prayers.
Michael Card is back from Israel and will be leading our Wednesday night Bible Study beginning this Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. We will begin taking a closer look at the Gospel of Luke. I hope you can join us. Sunday we will continue with our look into the book of Philippians. We will begin our journey in Chapter 2, as I have shared often, my favorite chapter of all the Pauline letters. I hope you will join us on our adventure...
Finally, thank you to the MANY Birthday wishes. You have made me laugh, smile, even stir a tear or two, and most of all feel extremely special and loved - and I'm 64!
I leave you with a wish that I received and want to share with you..
"On this special day of yours, I pray that the good Lord gives you all the joy and happiness that your heart can contain!"
So be happy and joyful!! I hope to see you Sunday, and Remember...
You ARE Loved! (And I KNOW I am!)
