REFLECTIONS AND ANTICIPATION...
I am writing my last Lonnie's Lines for 2022 and it is late afternoon on December 31. Over the last week or so, we have enjoyed lots of company, taken several to the airport as they flew back home to California, are dealing with broken pipes, ate a lot of great food, laughed a lot, cried some, and smiled till my face hurt. I love the Holidays, except for when they draw to an end. I just love the spirit of love, kindness, and joy. And, though I am literally exhausted, I even love the chaos. My challenge is to keep the positives of the Holidays alive for the entire year. If I can do that, then 2023 is going to be incredible!
As I reflect on 2022 and our wonderful Church Family, my heart is full of gratitude and joy. This really has been a wonderful year at FCC. I rejoice in the addition of several incredible new members of our family. Also, I have seen so much growth, yes in numbers, but also spiritually with our Bible Studies on Sunday and Wednesday, and our intentional worship. Several exciting things have happened as well such as the new outreach with our HomeSchool monthly meetings, our 10th Music in the Vale, our new and improved Website, our presence on Facebook, and even the addition of a new Playground Structure. Our campus has been beautified with the nice landscaping around the sign, flower boxes and new water fountain in the prayer garden, and most recently our new beautiful 12 foot Christmas tree. I am anticipating 2023 to be a fantastic year as well. And I hope you will be an active part of it. Even if it has been a while since you were at FCC in person, come on back. We want you and I know you will be glad you did.
On Sunday, Fisher Anderson, a Williamson County product and Franklin High graduate will bring our message. Fisher is currently a College student and athlete from Stanford University. Fisher is extremely active in his walk as well as his talk. He is exploring the possibility of going into a career of Ministry. The Fisher family are friends with Patti and I. We will have several folks visiting with us for the first time. It is going to be a great service.and a as well. Please join us.
The Rose Bowl Parade is not until Monday, and our service is at 10:30 am - so even if you stay up and welcome in the New Year, you could still join us at FCC for Worship. I hope to see you next year (which could be Sunday) ...
And Always Remember...
You ARE Loved!

(By the way, I want to invite you to join me in reading the Bible through, chronologically, in 2023. Please let me know if you are interested.)
