COMMITMENT...
COMMITMENT. This is a word that scares many, and is not taken seriously by even more. But it is something that often should be. And, of course, there are different levels of commitment for different things. So what are you committed to, and I mean really 100% committed to?
For me I am totally committed to Patti, and I am committed to the Tennessee Volunteers - but these are different levels and types of commitment. Despite what some might think (lol) Patti will ALWAYS be more important to me than my precious Vols. However, I desire for my strongest commitment to be that of my Faith and my relationship with My Lord. If this is solid and unshakeable, then my other commitments will fall into place, and in the proper order.
Any commitment is a key to our foundations of not only our Faith, but our lives. Jesus addresses this when he speaks about the house that is built upon the rock that can withstand storms, even disasters, yet does not waiver and stands tall through it all. And how do we show our commitment, and its strength? Through devotion, dedication, loyalty, faithfulness, and most of all our actions - even more so than our words. I challenge you to think about what, to whom, and how serious your commitments are. Does it show?
Finally, I want you to know that I am committed to you and our Family at FCC. I hope you feel the same. Keep showing it!
Tomorrow is going to be a fun Sunday at FCC. Our theme in Worship is "I'll Be There". Following Worship you are invited to join us as we "Celebrate Summer" with our Potluck. Burgers, Dogs, and the fixins are provided. Also, the Church will take care of the drinks. The rest is up to us. It will be awesome!
This month is going to be an incredible month at FCC. Tomorrow we "Celebrate Summer". Next Sunday, we have the privilege of Matt Blount bringing us the Word. And on July 30, Pastor Lee is going to lead a special Worship time with a Hymn Tribute. Not to mention Michael Card leading our Bible Study on Wednesday nights. Additionally, we have had one wedding already, and another next weekend. And Men, I hope you can attend the Men's Breakfast at Puckett's in Franklin on July 20. (By the way, if you get a chance, please thank Mr. King for the awesome fireworks on July 4th. It is great to have good neighbors.)
I hope to see you tomorrow, live and in person. Remember to stay and enjoy lunch together. And, most all ALWAYS Remember...
YOU ARE LOVED!
