1st Annual Chili Cookoff
Fernvale Community Church hosts a pot luck luncheon every second Sunday of each month. This month was really special, though, as we held our first annual Steve Turner Honorary Chili Cookoff. We had nine entries vying for the coveted trophy, including Steve's own secret recipe. However, deciding who would take home the trophy was much more difficult than we anticipated. Every entry was delicious! Initial tasting and judging ended in a tie for first place, which then required a "show of hands" vote between the top two. In the end, Marsha Glover took home the "Chili Spoon". Enjoy it for the next year, Marsha. The competition will be fierce next time.
